FISH had its world premiere at the 39th BFI Flare: London LGBTQIA+ Film Festival in March 2025 at BFI Southbank.
It has since been screened at Wicked Queer in Boston, HollyShorts Comedy in LA, London Independent Film Festival, Sutton Pride Film Festival, Fealy Films Pride Soho Screening, the Irish Pride Film Festival, and Rio LGBTQIA+.
You can next catch FISH at FilmOut San Diego later this month.
The Story.
FISH follows Suzanna, a woman who comes out as bisexual a little late in the game… A usually confident woman is plunged into new experiences, feeling like she’s losing her virginity all over again, to then slowly discover her sense of self and how to wear it with ease.
Why?
Where do the bisexuals fit?
FISH is a bildungsroman that investigates how for many people, bisexuality comes later. Even now, it’s usually safer and easier to pass as straight, but that of course takes its toll on someone’s identity. This is a celebration of our protagonist overcoming that, however destabilising the journey might be.
