BROADCAST

At breaking point with her run-down and overpriced London flat, a young woman sets out to trade her privacy for a decent place to live.

BROADCAST follows Lauren as she attempts to get the flat of her dreams in a near-future London rental market.

After yet another awful flat viewing, Lauren decides enough is enough. With reluctant help from her current roommate, Claire, she applies for a place at Broadcast Living Ltd. This new type of housing company offers tenants rent-free living in exchange for broadcasting their lives online. When the reality of the deal sets in, Lauren must decide if it is something she can live with.

The Story.

BROADCAST is a reflection of the realities of the London rental market. There is a very real sense of unease and powerlessness that comes with being a tenant. It feels important to be telling this story now as affordable housing, tenant rights and cost of living are major issues throughout the country. We believe BROADCAST will contribute to this discussion and will offer a fresh perspective by imagining a future scenario.

Why?

BROADCAST is currently in post-production.
