FULL FAT addresses a deeply common yet underrepresented phenomenon in the queer community. Time and again, we have witnessed queer friends being treated as a means of “exploration” by their straight friends—a dynamic that is rarely, if ever, portrayed on screen. While the embrace of sexual fluidity is growing and rightly celebrated, the lack of clear boundaries and language around these interactions often leads to unintended harm. This film seeks to shine a light on those complexities and the emotional fallout they can create.

Why this story?

FULL FAT has won Best Screenplay at both the Los Angeles Short Film Award and London Best Script Awards, with additional recognition including selections and nominations at top festivals such as Santa Barbara, Berlin, New York, and Chicago, and a semi-finalist placement at the London International Screenwriting Competition.
